Dr. Albert Mosqueda MD
Internist
8401 Datapoint Drive Suite 401 San Antonio Texas, 78229About
I graduated in 1990 from the University of Missouri School Of Medicine - Kansas City. This medical school, which was founded in 1971, was a first of its kind, with an innovative curriculum providing students with patient care contact from the first day. It included a fully integrated liberal arts/humanities, basic sciences and medical school education. Students earn their combined undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees together in 6 years. These future doctors learn the skills and attitudes that foster compassion, honesty, and integrity in a learning environment that de-emphasizes competition and encourages learning thru close faculty-student interaction and partnerships. After completion of my internal medicine residency at Legacy Emanuel and Good Samaritan Hospitals in Portland, OR, I continued on as Chief Medicine Resident and then served on the faculty for 7 years. I have been in private practice for over 20 years and continue to share my experience and knowledge with medical students and internal medicine residents by participating in the clinical externship programs at UT Health Science Center - San Antonio. I am committed to delivering high quality medical care and achieving the top level of patient satisfaction. Throughout my career I have been in a variety of leadership and administrative positions. My involvement with the administrative side of medicine includes the spectrum of finance, budgets, human resources, negotiations, and utilization management. I have a positive attitude, enthusiasm for the work that I do and excellent interpersonal skills. While working with or leading teams to achieve common goals, I am accustomed to multi-tasking several projects at one time as well as gathering all the information to explore all options to make best decisions as well as build consensus. It is my fundamental belief that I am in the business of relationships and build from that in whatever I do.
