An experienced child & adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Casanova has been in practice with SAAFE Health Services LLC since it opened its doors. She specializes in the treatment of conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, insomnia, ADD, and other mental illnesses.

Alongside her role at SAAFE Health Services LLC, Dr. Casanova serves as the Medical Director of Serenity Springs Recovery Center. It provides substance abuse rehabilitation with an exclusive all male treatment program. Residential Treatment takes place on a 32-acre, private spiritual sanctuary in Edgewater, Florida.

Regarding her educational background, Dr. Casanova graduated with her medical degree from the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in 1980. She went on to complete her residency in psychiatry at the Bergen Regional Medical Center in 1983, and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1985.
Wanting to stay up to date in her respective field, she is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. When not working, she enjoys cross stitching and bird watching. She speaks both English and Spanish.
