Selvon F. St. Clair, MD, PhD, FAAOS, is a board certified orthopedic and spinal surgeon working with the Orthopedic Institute of Ohio in Lima and Findlay, Ohio. Dr. St. Clair earned his medical degree at the New York University School of Medicine in 2004. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, and his spine surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine Spine Center in Georgia. For his accomplishments, Dr. St. Clair is the recipient of a NYUSOM Samuel Spiegel Scholar, the Cleveland Clinic Innovator Award, the Best Orthopedic Resident Research Award and he is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He specializes mainly in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders. His other areas of expertise lie in degenerative disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine with particular focus on minimally invasive spinal surgery for stenosis and herniated discs, adolescent and adult scoliosis deformity surgery, spinal tumors, infections and trauma. Additionally, Dr. St. Clair is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery and also earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
