Academically, Terry obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Armstrong Atlantic University in 1994. Following this, he pursued a Master of Public Administration Degree at Georgia State University, which he completed in 1996.
In 2015, Terry furthered his education by obtaining a Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Most recently, in November of 2023, he achieved a Doctorate of Psychology from the same institution.
For roughly three years, Terry served as a probation officer within the juvenile court system in Henry County, Georgia. During his tenure, he handled complex cases involving children, families, and adults, including those requiring Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) for adults.
Additionally, Terry has offered career counseling to more than 40 clients, and has a track record of suggesting clinically beneficial literature to aid clients in understanding their conditions better and discovering practical solutions for personal growth and development.
On a professional level, Terry is Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CDBT), Nationally Certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC), and Certified in CPR and First Aid.
