Lucyna Maria Puszkarska, MD, is an outstanding psychiatrist in Chicago, Illinois, where she works alongside Dr. S. J. Puszkarski. She was born and raised in Krakow, Poland. Dr. Puszkarska expressed a great deal of interest in mathematics and medicine. She eventually decided to pursue her passion in medicine, and attended medical school at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Dr. Puszkarska had a great love for kids and specialized in pediatrics. She moved with her family to Chicago, Illinois and decided to also specialize in Psychiatry. She completed the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program at the University of Chicago and afterwards the Child, Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. Following her training, Dr. Puszkarska entered private practice and worked at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center where she eventually became the Vice Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Chairman of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Puszkarska became the Medical Director at Riveredge Hospital in Forest Park, Illinois where she currently works. Dr. Puszkarska's experience, academics, and leadership has brought an unprecedented level of quality to the clinical programs at Riveredge Hospital. She has been known to have a comprehensive and compassionate approach to psychiatry by her colleagues. She also maintains professional memberships with the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
