I Graduated from a highly renowned Medicine school of Pakistan but got married and had kids. I was always big on Psychiatric issues of kids and did not want to let anyone take care of them when they were little. By the time kids were old enough to take care of themselves, I was an older graduate. I was so passionate about this profession, that I took admission again in Med school to be a fresh graduate. Then got Internal medicine residency at Salem, Virginia. Now practicing as a hospitalist.
I loved almost every field of medicine but Internal medicine and Psychiatry were always my top choices. Currently I'm working as a hospitalist because the reward and satisfaction which I get from taking care of extremely sick patients and helping them return to life, is simply priceless.
In my opinion, every patient deserves to be treated just like I would treat my own family.

Areas of research
I want to find out the main causes of relapses in addiction. What are the key factors which push the detoxed persons to come back towards addiction and how can we help minimizing the relapse rate? How can we provide enough support to newly cleaned and detoxed people to stay clean? I want to do this research because I noticed in my Psychiatry rotation that our huge amount of economy is draining in the treatment and taking care of people caught up in different kinds of addiction. I also noticed that those people were willing to stay clean and healthy but our society set up is not very helpful and they cannot find proper support, environment, and jobs to help them stay clean.
