Can you use existing dentures for implants?
Indeed you can. It all depends on how old your denture is. Your dentist can place 2-3 implants, then place your denture on top of the implants. That’s called over denture. All depends on the shape of your teeth. Most often, teeth are reduced by 5 mm to make room for the porcelain. Some teeth, if they are rotated, will be reduced a lot more. Check with your dentist and seek a second opinion. READ MORE

Anything I can do for my tooth gap?

Dr. Latif is an award-winning dentist who has been providing compassionate and gentle cosmetic dental care to patients from in and around Columbus, Ohio for more than three decades. He is the owner & operator of Ohio Cosmetic Dentists.
Ohio Cosmetic Dentists is a Columbus-based family dental practice that treats patients of all ages. It is committed to delivering the highest quality dental care – offering services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more – and using advanced dental equipment. Emergency dental services such as bonding, root canals, crowns, and bridges are also performed.
Graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri and his Master of Science degree from the University of Indiana, Dr. Latif went on to further his training. He earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1984.
During his 25-plus year career in dentistry, he has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education courses to ensure he is providing the most advanced dentistry available to patients. He has taken courses in esthetic dentistry from Case Western Reserve University, several implant courses from the Midwest Implant Institute (of which he is a Fellow), as well as cosmetic dentistry courses in Canada and Brazil.
A Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Latif is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Columbus Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
He was also the first dentist in Ohio to perform the Pinhole Surgical Technique that is slowly replacing the gum grafting procedure to remedy painful gum recession. He has performed this innovative procedure on over 400 satisfied patients over the last three years.
Whatever a patient’s dental needs, be it a small filling or a whole mouth rehabilitation, Dr. Latif will provide them with the extra time, care, and expertise they deserve at every visit. For those who have a fear of injections, he is a miracle worker with a needle!
