Here in our office, we not only strive to provide the most effective treatments and procedures, but we do it with an air of comfort and relaxation that will make your dental visit as stress-free as possible. We even offer laughing gas and have a therapy dog to assist with that comfort.

Yes, you read that right. Ashby is the daughter of our incredible therapy dog Chattam, that we lost to cancer in January 2020. She is in therapy dog training and loves to visit with you before or after your appointment.

Evolve Dental is sensitive to the needs of those with allergies and will take the proper steps to ensure that everyone has an excellent dental experience.

  • What happens if a tooth root is left in the gum?

It can become infected and possibly abscess. It is best to get removed before the gums grow over it. READ MORE

  • Why do I have lumps on my tongue?

It is normal to have large, circular bumps on your tongue, those are just simply taste buds. Normally, oral cancer shows as an irritated mass or red and white on the back, sides/undersides of the tongue. Though they usually are not sore. If you are really worried about the family history, a dental exam would be the place to start. READ MORE

  • Does a water flosser whiten teeth?

No it will not. READ MORE

  • Is flossing more important than brushing?

They are equally important. Brushing cleans the part of teeth you can see while flossing cleans the in-between parts of the teeth and the gums. READ MORE

  • Do you use Waterpik before or after brushing?

I personally WaterPic AFTER brushing so that it can "power-wash" out all the debris that I loosened while brushing my teeth. And to remove things I may have pushed between my teeth with my toothbrush. READ MORE

  • What to do if your dental bridge falls out?

If your bridge has fallen out, it is important to see your dentist as soon as possible so he can make sure it still fits and that there is no active cavities. If the bridges stays off for too long (even as little as a week), the support teeth could shift causing the bridge to not fit. If everything fits as it should, it will simply be re-cemented and you'll be on your way. Dr. James Oliver READ MORE

  • Is ibuprofen 800 mg good for a toothache?

Yes that will be good for a toothache as long as you do not have an an aspirin allergy or bleeding disorders. Ibuprofen alternated with Tylenol (take "Advil" now, 4-6 hours later take Tylenol instead) will give better pain relief due to different mechanisms. READ MORE

  • How long does tooth sensitivity last?

It depends on the cause of the sensitivity. If it is due to recession and exposed root surfaces, or due the the enamel (outer white layer of tooth) becoming soft or starting to break down due to poor hygiene, then the sensitivity will last until the gum disease or hygiene/cavities are addressed. If you whitened your teeth recently, it could last 1-3 weeks, and using "Sensitivity toothpaste" that has fluoride or potassium nitrate in it will help alleviate that. Dr. James Oliver READ MORE
