Growing up in New Jersey, Dr. Ragukonis earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he graduated with his medical degree in 1991. After completing his residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, he immediately began his private practice in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Affiliated with numerous professional organizations, he is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, the Royal Society of Medicine, the North American Spine Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Pain Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the Bergen County Medical Society, and the Alumni Association of the New Jersey Medical School. Alongside his clinical role, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Rutgers University.
