Difficult but good question, a lot had to do with your age, gender, risk factors, etc. I recommend getting basic labs and an echocardiogram, good physical exam, look at weight and sleep apnea, etc., if all is normal it’s usally being, also a monitor to wear for 24/ 72 hours would help combining all the above should be easy. • Can eating cause heart palpitations in pregnancy?

For sure it can. Your stomach is distended from pregnancy (third trimester), and add food on top, yes the abdomen distends this could irratate your diaphragm, which is in contact with your heart, so all the distension can cause palpations as an irrational via contact, very often it’s totally benign, a young female with a normal heart function should be well, and not have this issue post-delivery. • Regaining strength after a stroke

Without the opportunity to see her it's hard to say. She should be seen by rehab medicine for a consult. I also note patients are somewhat depressed post stroke , and that could be part of the problem, also she may be dehydrated and perhaps not on a good diet with proper nutrition and vitamins, botom line is that she should be seen by a comprehensive doctor. READ MORE

  • Is plavix( clopidogrel ) a blood thinner?

Most of the time plavix is used for one year , but longer if a stent were inserted in certain cases. Plavix is a blood thinner by blocking platet adhesion to the inner lining of your blood vessels. It should be stoped 5-7 days prior to surgery and no weaning is needed. It's possible that you no longer need it but that is up to your cardiologist . READ MORE

  • Are there alternatives to a catheter ablation for atrioventricular reciprocating tachycardia

The best treatment would be ablation as they are highly successful. The problem here is that at 9 years old he is at risk for a cardiomyopathy from rapid heart rates. Also taking medication at that age is not wise and loaded with side effects, and for how long? Digoxin does not work in active patients and also has side effects , truly ablation is the true way to treat this in a good center for pediatric care. READ MORE
