Get to know Internist Dr. Homero G. Rivero, who serves patients in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Rivero is an exceptional board-certified internist who, in his line of work, has received the On-Time Doctor Award (2015, 2018), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015, 2018), and Patients’ Choice Award (2018). He is affiliated with Mercy Hospital in Miami, Florida. 

Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed acute care U.S. hospital and Miami-Dade County’s only Catholic hospital. It was established in 1950. Mercy Hospital was a member of the Catholic Health East until it was sold to HCA.

After completing his medical education at the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas Villa Clara, Dr. Rivero relocated to the United States to complete his residency at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

A member of the American Medical Association, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine or general medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases.
