Originally from Midland, Texas, Dr. Harris graduated from Lubbock Christian University where he played on the men’s golf team for four years. He attended Baylor College of Dentistry where he finished near the top of his class with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then chose to continue his education in an advanced general dentistry residency at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio where he was certified in IV sedation. He is among a small percentage of dentists in the country with the ability to IV sedate patients.
Through his dental education and residency, Dr. Harris has gained extensive training in the fields of cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry, wisdom teeth extractions, and dental implants – to name a few. With a strong commitment to continuing education, he strives to remain at the forefront of the latest dental technology and techniques. The dentist is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Texas Academy of General Dentistry.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. General dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
In his personal life, Dr. Harris and his wife, Morgan, moved to the Hill Country in 2018. They have a golden retriever named Stella and a cat named Conway. In his spare time, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, and playing guitar.
