Thank you for your question. Under normal conditions, a simple cyst is benign and it is physiologic. This resolves spontaneously a majority of the time. This cyst is not caused by a sexually infection disease and should be reassuring. The recommendation: follow up with an interval pelvic sono for resolution or otherwise if it is a concern to you. Dr Brown saved our son from premature labor when even the specialist I was seeing had given up. He is kind, knowledgeable, and weighs all options to choose what is safest and healthiest for you and baby. He is great about explaining why he suggests any treatment and what risks there may be, and let's you decide with him what you see fit. I literally would not have my healthy 11lb boy without him! I would recommend him to any and everyone.
