Pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Pakistan in 1989. After relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his residency in neurology and internal medicine at UMDNJ in 1998, followed by his fellowship in sleep medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1999.

Providing the latest in patient-focused neurological care, he is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Khan is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Academy of Balance Medicine, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Academy of Ant-aging Medicine, and other widely respected professional medical associations.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
