He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California in 1996. Thereafter, he went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology with a subspecialty fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the same university. “I come from a long line of doctors in my family and I saw how they were helping other people, which got me interested in going into medicine. Later, when I was doing my OB/GYN residency, I saw how happy the people that used fertility treatment were when they became pregnant. So, I decided that this was the field I wanted to go into” as stated by Dr. Saadat.
Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction as well as the issue of infertility. As a reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Saadat is trained in providing fertility treatments using assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and egg freezing. He attributes his success to treating his patients as individuals.
Dr. Saadat was born in Tehran, Iran, and immigrated to the United States when he was 13 years old. He is married to Shohreh Saadat and has two children of whom he is very proud and loves dearly. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family by going on family trips together. His favorite professional publication is the Fertility and Sterility Journal.
