What do you attribute your success to?
My father was an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist who displayed the utmost dedication and compassion to his profession and specifically his patients. He instilled in me the priveledge and responsibility that comes with being a physician. He taught be about the importance of improving my knowledge and skillset to become a the best physician I can while maintaining the highest degree of humility. He was a great teacher and mentor but also a colleague and friend.
My personal experiences have involved teaching, coaching and working with others in leadership roles of various organizations. All of these experiences coupled with what my father has taught me have helped me in my professional career.
Philanthropic Initiatives
I serve on the Board of Associates for KidsPeace, a Non Profit organization serving the behavioral and mental health needs of children, families, and communities.
I am also on the board of the Cath a Lift Fund, a Non Profit organization aimed to serve wounded military veterans through physical fitness and mental wellness.
Teaching and speaking
I currently teach and supervise at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
I also provide various lectures as part of CME education as well as lectures to groups of students and athletic teams.
