Throughout his academic career, Dr. Eisenberg  attended the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and was awarded his medical degree in 1977. His internship, residency, and fellowship training followed at St. Mary’s Medical Center. 

A firm believer that his continuing education has been a major contributor to his successful professional journey in psychiatry, Dr. Eisenberg remains at the forefront of his challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations such as the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, the American Telemedicine Association, and the National Council on Problem Gambling. He also lectures widely on a number of behavioral health care topics with a special focus on co-occurring substance use, psychiatric disorders, and gambling disorder.
