In the early days of his academic career, Dr. Stehr obtained his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport in 2006. He then went on to complete his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Alabama Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in interventional spine with Alabama Orthopedic, Spine & Sports Medicine Associates.

Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and Alabama, the doctor is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.

As a testament to his success, Dr. Stehr is also board-certified in pain medicine through the American Board of Pain Medicine (ABPM). The mission of the ABPM is to improve the quality of pain medicine.
