A board-certified hematologist-oncologist, Dr. Kafeel has two decades of experience in providing individualized, compassionate cancer care to patients in New York. Back in the early days of his academic career, he earned his medical degree from the Santiago University of Technology School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic in 1998. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in 2008, and his fellowship in hospice & palliative medicine at the SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital in 2011.
