Barbara Mokrzycka-Pys, DC, SC, is an established chiropractor at The Center for Musculoskeletal Care in Northfield, New York. She is a graduate of National University of Health Sciences and is board certified to practice chiropractic medicine and physiotherapy by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She is also a National Athletic Trainers Association board certified athletic trainer and has worked at several Northshore medical centers for the past twenty years. Dr. Pys utilizes manual techniques when caring for patients as well as alternative therapies to address health complaints using natural medicine, lifestyle changes and nutritional counseling. She has extensive experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and general health issues with chiropractic manipulation, physical and functional rehabilitation, neuromuscular therapy, acupuncture, and a range of techniques involving soft tissue manipulation. Dr. Pys remains active in continuing education programs, including The McKenzie Method of Manual Diagnosis and Therapy, a non-manipulation based treatment for pain, ergonomic evaluation of a work place, muscular and myofascial rehabilitation, and Dr. McGillâ??s methods of correct movement mechanics. Dr. Pys is a professional member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Illinois Chiropractic Society. She is board certified in chiropractic medicine and physiotherapy.
