Dehydration concerns?
"Food poisoning" classically is caused by ingestion of food that is contaminated by staph aureus bacteria, lasting seldom beyond 24 hours. Viral gastroenteritis lasts 1-3 days mostly, and bacterial gastroenteritis can last days and weeks. Bacterial gastroenteritis is often associated with fever, bloody stools, and ingestion of food contaminated by E. coli, yersinia, or campylobacter salmonela. READ MORE

It would nice to know why you have stage 3 kidney disease this early at age 27. If you do not have a nephrologist, I would suggest that you get to know one to preserve your kidney function. Is it bad? Should I go to the hospital?
Closed head injuries are of 2 major kinds, deceleration and non-deceleration. Deceleration head injury is typified by a motorcyclist without helmet hitting his head at 40 mph. Non-deceleration injury can be exemplified by a 40 mph soccer ball hitting a stationary. Punching the head is more like a soccer ball hitting your head. Some studies show that Over 90% of the people have headaches. My guideline is that if my headache goes away after 1mg /kg of ibuprofen and 15 mg/kg of acetaminophen. If headache linger on, you can either repeat the same after 4-6 hrs or be evaluate with a CT scan. I hope you stop the habit of hitting your head. Take care. READ MORE

Why can't I have a doctor look at my head without going to the ER?
Immediately after head injury, the things that concern me in the elderly are whether someone is on blood thinning medications (Coumadin, Plavix, and so on). Elderly patients are more likely than younger patients to suffer from subdural hemorrhage after head injury. Seeking immediate medical is therefore important in the first 24 hours. If you are doing pretty well after 7 days, importance of going to the ER or urgent care is much less. READ MORE
