Back in 1996, Dr. Tomassoni earned her medical degree from the Penn State College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia in 2000, where she served as the administrative chief resident.

Before long, she became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
