Lee E. Rubin, MD, FAAOS, is a remarkable orthopedic surgeon working at Yale Ortho -- YPB New Haven Office in New Haven, Connecticut, Yale Ortho in Milford, Connecticut, and Yale Ortho in Guilford, Connecticut. In addition, he maintains a private practice in East Greenwich, Connecticut. Dr. Rubin is a fellowship trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in Adult Reconstruction (Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgery). He is an expert in minimally invasive â??Direct Anterior Approachâ? total hip replacement and is currently authoring and editing the worldâ??s first comprehensive surgical textbook on this technique, set to be published in Spring 2016. He also performs partial joint replacements for young, active, arthritis patients, revision total joint surgery, and cares for geriatric and peri-prosthetic fracture patients. Dr. Rubin completed his surgical training at Yale University followed by an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship with the Keggi Orthopaedic Foundation in Connecticut. Dr. Rubin completed his undergraduate education at Brandeis University in 2000, and received his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in 2004. He interned in general surgery and served his residency in orthopedics and rehabilitation at Yale University and Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Rubin is also on staff at Yale University School of Medicine and is a professional member of the Rhode Island Medical Society, the Rhode Island Orthopedic Society, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Research Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the International Congress of Joint Reconstruction (ICJR). Dr. Rubin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and recipient of numerous awards.
