Lyle S. Melenka, MD, MSc, FRCP, is a pulmonologist and internist with Synergy Cardiac and Respiratory Care in the Surgery Wellness Centre in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. Synergy Cardiac & Respiratory Care is a fully accredited facility with experienced and respected physicians specializing in Respirology, Cardiology, Sleep Medicine, and Occupational Health. Dr. Lyle Melenka graduated from medical school in 1981. From there, he specialized in both Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine. In 1993, he obtained a Master Degree in Epidemiology. All his education was completed locally at the prestigious University of Alberta. Dr. Melenka has been involved in countless publications, research projects, and has been an educator in teaching conferences internationally. He has been a practicing respirologist for the past 25 years. Dr. Melenka founded Synergy Cardiac & Respiratory Care in 2011. This facility offers a full array of respiratory and cardiac testing, as well as occupational health and wellness programs. Full pulmonary testing, spirometry, cardiac exercise stress testing, and ECG testing, can be all performed in the spacious Sherwood Park clinic. Patients enjoy the convenience of free parking and the ability to have further blood work, x-rays, and more, all performed in the same building. Synergy Cardiac & Respiratory Care also heads various research projects, clinical trials, and occupational health programs. Dr. Melenka is a member of the European Respiratory Society, the Canadian Thoracic Society, and the University of Alberta. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada.
