Enhancing Mental Health Care Across Multiple States

Catalina Draghici, MD, has been making significant contributions as a telepsychiatrist with Providence since joining the organization in September 2022. In addition to her role at Providence, Dr. Draghici has been a full-time psychiatrist at the Swedish Edmonds Campus in Edmonds, Washington, since December 2021, providing vital psychiatric services to the community.

Dr. Draghici brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. She graduated from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, in 1997. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center from 2006 to 2010. Following her residency, she pursued a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 2010 to 2011, further honing her skills in providing comprehensive mental health care.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Draghici is board-certified in both psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Her expertise allows her to address complex mental health issues effectively, employing a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Dr. Draghici is licensed to practice in several states, including Washington, New Mexico, Oregon, California, Arkansas, Idaho, Texas, and Montana, which enables her to extend her services to a diverse range of patients across the country.

Dr. Draghici’s commitment to improving mental health access is evident in her telepsychiatry work, which allows her to connect with patients in underserved areas, providing them with essential psychiatric support from the comfort of their homes. Her approach to telehealth not only enhances patient convenience but also helps to reduce the stigma often associated with seeking mental health care.
