  • Why are my teeth yellow?

External stains are not the primary determinant of tooth color. Your primary tooth color comes from the color of your dentin. Dentin colors range from creme colors to yellow, orange or brown. They can be affected by systemic ingestion of medicines, antibiotics, diet and other body(systemic) pathology. External yellow stains are primarily a result of caramel colors such as coffee, cokes, etc. It is the easiest of external stains to bleach out. READ MORE

  • Do I have to floss my dentures?

It is important to brush your dentures with toothpaste and a good toothbrush twice daily. Also it is recommended to clean them with a cleaning solution such as Efferdent, Polident. • How often should I get a teeth whitening?

This is a very large because there are so many variables... depending on your present oral conditions, habits, age as well as the type of whitening you are requesting. I can give you some generalizations. For in office bleaching -4 sessions initially with 1 session yearly thereafter. Take Home whitening kits 2 weeks of bleaching initially with 1 hour touch ups monthly thereafter. Whitening strips I would advise to follow the take home protocol. Hope this helps. If you are not getting the results you desire from bleaching you may be a candidate for veneers in order to get the tooth color you desire. READ MORE
