Babb, MD, MSCAI, FACC, FAHA, is a well-versed and respected cardiologist serving patients at East Carolina Heart Institute at East Carolina University in North Carolina. Additionally, he currently serves as the Clinical Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Disease at East Carolina Heart Institute at East Carolina University. With over 30 years of experience in the field, Dr. Babb currently specializes in interventional cardiology and also practices preventative medicine and helps his patients maintain a heart-healthy life. In regards to his education, Dr. Babb earned his medical degree in 1966 from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. From there, he completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Babb is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. To remain up to date in his field, he is a professional member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. On a more personal note, Dr. Babb prides himself in serving in the United States Army from 1968 until 1970.
