Ronnie R. Smith Sr., MD, RPVI, is an established internist with the Endoscopy Center of SE Georgia and Vidalia Medical Associates in Vidalia, Georgia. He is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). The ASGE is the only medical society that requires documentation of specific training in GI endoscopic procedures. He is also certified in The Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Smith Sr. received his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, in 1975. He completed a split Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, Georgia, and Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. attended the Wharton School/University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he completed the Executive Medical Management Program, in 1993. He has completed post graduate work at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts; Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He completed post-residency training in echocardiography at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, and Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Smith Sr. is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Diplomat of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He is the Founder and President of Successful Solutions Inc., in Vidalia, Georgia (1983-1998), Co-founder and CEOCEO of Successful Health and Wellness Solutions, LLC and Founder/Senior Partner of Vidalia Medical Associates in Vidalia, Georgia (1978-Present).
