Get to know Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Daniel E. Esposito, who serves the population of Littleton, Colorado. Dr. Daniel E. Esposito is a highly trained and qualified physician with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work. He has been in practice for more than two decades, and is currently serving patients within the Implant and Oral Surgery Center in Littleton, Colorado. He also serves patients in the Level 1 Trauma department of St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood. Dr. Esposito’s acclaimed career began in 1991 when he graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine. He then completed an internship within the same institution, before attending Vanderbilt Medical School and earning his Medical Degree in 1995. Thereafter, Dr. Esposito completed an internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital, serving as Chief Resident from 1997 to 1998. Dr. Esposito has earned the coveted titles of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Vice President of the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a distinguished member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the American Medical Association, and has lectured both nationally and internationally. Dr. Esposito attributes his success to his education, access to the latest technology, great staff, and making a difference in his patient’s lives. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are trained to recognize and treat a wide spectrum of diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. They are also trained to administer anesthesia and provide care in an office setting. They treat problems such as the extraction of wisdom teeth, misaligned jaws, tumors and cysts of the jaw and mouth, and to perform dental implant surgery. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a surgical specialty recognized by the American College of Surgeons and is one of nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association, the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
