Get to know Pathologist Dr. Zvika J. Schreiber, who serves patients in Staten Island and Brooklyn, New York.

A devoted pathologist, Dr. Schreiber specializes in the study of pathology and the pathologic process of disease. He is trained to research, study, diagnose & treat disease by analyzing sample tissues at a microscopic level.

In New York, he is affiliated with Staten Island University Hospital & NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island. He has more than 4 years of experience in surgical pathology and as a lab director with specific interest in gastrointestinal pathology and dermatopathology.

A 2006 graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Schreiber went on to perform his residency at Stony Brook University Hospital. He then furthered his studies with a fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in anatomic & clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.

Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and in some cases, the whole body. Pathologists are physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and management of diseases by laboratory methods.
