You should try and get a referral from your Dr., share your concerns. The Dr. may suggest your husband so to a sleep center to see if he in fact, is suffering with sleep apnea. Remember, most of the time snoring is attributed to the glottis being blocked or constricted. CPAP/BiPAP therapy has been proven successful and beneficial in the treatment of such a diagnosis. I have asthma. Do you think respiratory therapy will help me?
Yes, it would provide educational steps, which, along with your Dr.s management and prescribed medication, can lead you to easily identify the "triggers" that lead to your attacks. do your flare ups occure with strenuous activity? Do you typically find yourself in areas that are heavily filled with allergens, smoke or dust. If yes, I suggest avoiding those areas if at all possible. If you can't, wear a face mask which will help trap any particulate that may cause irritation to your airways..If your Dr. has prescribed you an inhaler, follow his instructions regarding proper use and frequency. You may try using your inhaler prior to doing the task, as this will open up the airways and make it easier to finish without to much difficulty. READ MORE
