Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Thomas Caraballo, who serves patients throughout the State of Illinois.

Dr. Caraballo is a board certified emergency physician who has been practicing for over a decade. He is the lead physician at Fashioned Health, a unique concierge medicine practice that focuses on anti-aging and increasing health span. 

“The physician becomes a health coach and the patient’s No. 1 cheerleader. We stick with you the whole way” expressed Dr. Caraballo.

Creating a physician partnership that will bring back the doctor-patient relationship and focus on optimizing one’s health to help prevent disease, Fashioned Health does just that. The providers offer personalized care and services tailored to meet each patient’s needs. Their goal is to empower each patient to take charge of their health through informed lifestyle decisions and changes, thereby leading them to living a healthier life. 

Scholastically, Dr. Caraballo received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University, after which he performed his residency in emergency medicine at HCA Healthcare: East Florida Division GME: St. Lucie Medical Center.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in emergency medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). The AOBEM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues (emergency physicians).

Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, Dr. Caraballo also continues practices in the ER at Ascension Mercy in Aurora, where he is the Chief of Emergency Medicine.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.
