Throughout his academic career, Dr. Kohli earned his medical degree from the Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. He then pursued his residency in internal medicine at the University of Buffalo, where he served as chief resident. He also completed his fellowship in general nephrology at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, and went on to pursue a fellowship in transplant nephrology at the same venue. Dr. Kohli has a training background of general nephrology, transplant nephrology and formal certification as hypertension specialist.
As a testament of his education, he is board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Among his other roles, Dr. Kohli can be found on staff at Davita Dialysis, which provides multiple programs tailored and individualized to specific patient needs.
Dr. Kohli has been actively involved in medical education. He was teaching faculty at Renal fellowship program at prestigious Hospital of University of Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2020 and is currently involved in medical education at the Atlanticare Residency Program.
