Dr. Mease is a developmental behavioral pediatrician. Developmental behavioral pediatricians, also known as developmental pediatricians, are medical doctors who have the training and expertise to evaluate and care for the medical / psychosocial aspects of children’s and adolescents’ developmental, learning or behavioral problems.

He also has more than 30 years clinical experience with the U.S. Army (both active and reserve duty) and extensive experience in pediatric clinical practice both in the United States and in China.

Dr. Mease is the Arkansas Medical Director at eQHealth Solutions, a leader in population health management for commercial and government entities,located in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) – College of Public Health. The College’s mission is to improve health and promote the well-being of individuals, families, and communities in Arkansas through education, research and service.

Dr. Mease is an at-large board member for the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP). The AMCHP is a national resource, partner and advocate for state public health leaders and others working to improve the health of women, children, youth and families, including those with special health care needs. The association builds successful programs by disseminating best practices, advocating on their members’ behalf in Washington, providing technical assistance, convening leaders to share experiences and ideas, as well as advising states about involving partners to reach their common goal of healthy children, healthy families and healthy communities.

Dr. Mease was the Medical Director of the Surmang Foundation, Beijing, China for over 8 years.

Dr. Mease received his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine (Columbia), graduating cum laude. Wanting to further his education, he went on to complete his residency in pediatrics and an internship at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He also completed his fellowship training in pediatric hematology and oncology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Dr. Mease is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society – an honor society in the field of medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics – an organization of 67 ,000 pediatricians committed to the optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

In addition to English, Dr. Mease speaks basic Mandarin.
