Get to know Physician Assistant Kaitlyn Banks, who serves patients in Borger, Texas.

Kaitlyn is a physician assistant who is affiliated with High Plains Family Medicine in Borger, Texas. “Our clinic strives to provide a multitude of services to our community. We offer a variety of services to patients from newborns to the eldery and everyone in between. The providers and staff work hard to provide a welcoming environment and comprehensive medical care with many on-site services including X-ray, spirometry, allergy testing, office surgery, audiology, and laboratory services” as stated on the clinic’s website. Above all, High Plains Family Medicine focuses on providing health care using the latest evidence-based medicine.

Kaitlyn graduated high school in Amarillo, Texas. Her dad taught psychology at Amarillo College. She has previous experience in laboratory medicine and decided to broaden her horizon into clinical medicine. 

Kaitlyn attended Texas Tech for training as a physician assistant. Her clinical training was in Amarillo, Texas, additionally she has good working relationships with many specialists in Amarillo. She rotated with the clinic in training and joined High Plains Family Medicine immediately after graduation. In her spare time, Kaitlyn enjoys drinking good coffee, spending time with her family, restoring homes, and playing with her yorkies.   

A physician assistant is a health care practitioner who practices medicine in collaboration with or under the supervision of a physician, depending on state laws. Physicians do not need to be on-site with PAs and collaboration or supervision often occurs via electronic means when consults are necessary. Kaitlyn sees newborns to adults. She is also an excellent option for females desiring a female provider offering women’s health.
