Prior to her current endeavors, she served as an emergency room technician with MultiCare Health System (April 2012 – November 2014), at Penrose Hospital (January 2008 – June 2010), and with the United States Air Force (January 2008 – March 2009). She also served as the Aerospace Medical Service Journeyman with the United States Air Force (February 1999 – June 2007).
Academically, Sunshine graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from the University of Washington in 2012. She then went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2016.
