Dr. Rafael Sepulveda is a board certified physician in internal medicine, obesity medicine and pediatric & adult sleep medicine in Northern California. His medical training includes receiving an MD degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and a Fifth Pathway certificate from New York Medical College. He pursued his Internal Medicine residency program in Puerto Rico at Universidad Central del Caribe, and a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center which was completed in 2017. Sleep Medicine rotations involved busy hospitals such as Memphis Veterans Medical Center and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. His medical practice is based in the North Bay of the San Francisco area for sleep medicine and in Sonoma County for obesity medicine. Currently He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine to manage patients with the disorder of obesity and obesity-related disorders. Dr. Sepulveda's focus and skills include evaluation and treatment of obesity, weight-related disorders, screening for weight management, obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, insomnia, parasomnias, behavioral insomnia of childhood and a variety of other sleep-related disorders. Dr. Sepulveda is a true believer in approaching patient care in a integrated manner with the purpose of healing and triggering a life-changing experience in the patient’s health and well being.
