Delivering Expertise in Complex Rheumatological Disorders to Alleviate Pain and Improve Quality of Life

Rheumatology Care Associates is honored to be led by Dr. Priya Prakash, a dual board-certified rheumatologist who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Clermont community. 

With a strong focus on treating complicated conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, interstitial lung diseases, and ANCA vasculitis, Dr. Prakash is poised to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of her patients. Her philosophy prioritizes individualized care plans that address each patient’s unique needs and circumstances, allowing her to offer the most effective treatment options and support.

After earning her Medical Degree from the esteemed Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in India, Dr. Prakash immigrated to the United States to further her medical career. She completed a rigorous residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at the Westchester Medical Center / New York Medical Center, where she developed her expertise in managing a variety of rheumatological disorders. Her time as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center allowed her to refine her skills and stay abreast of the latest advancements in rheumatology, particularly utilizing cutting-edge technology to improve patient outcomes.

Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both rheumatology and internal medicine, Dr. Prakash is dedicated to providing high-quality care to her patients. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and an active member of the Florida Society of Rheumatology, emphasizing her commitment to professional development and the advancement of rheumatology as a specialty.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Prakash enjoys quality time with her friends and family, and she has a passion for travel, which enriches her life experiences and perspectives.
