A skilled general surgeon, Dr. Evans is the Trauma Medical Director and Department Chair of Robotic Surgery at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, Georgia.

In his role as the Trauma Medical Director at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital, he oversees the coordination of care for patients with critical injuries, ensuring swift and effective treatment in emergency situations. His leadership in this capacity enhances the hospital’s ability to respond to trauma cases with precision and efficiency, ultimately improving patient outcomes and saving lives.

As the Department Chair of Robotic Surgery, Dr. Evans spearheads the integration of advanced robotic technologies into surgical procedures, offering patients minimally invasive treatment options with enhanced precision and faster recovery times. By championing innovation in surgical techniques, he is at the forefront of providing cutting-edge care to patients at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, he graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine in 2009, and started his residency in general surgery at the Keesler Medical Center in 2011. After separating from the military,  he completed his general surgery residency at the University of Utah Medical Center in 2016.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor’s board certification by the American Board of Surgery further attests to his proficiency in the field, signifying his dedication to upholding the highest standards of surgical practice.

On a more personal note, Dr. Evans also enjoys singing/writing music, cooking and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
