Get to know Radiologist Dr. Rahul Nayyar, who serves patients in Apple Valley, California.

Dr. Nayyar is a board-certified radiologist and Interventional radiologist  currently practicing with Apex Radiology Group. 

He is also the Chief Medical Officer for Choice Medical Group in Apple Valley, California. Choice Medical Group is a team of board-certified primary care and specialty physicians providing high-quality medical care to the High Desert community. The award-winning Medical Group has been voted ‘Best of the Desert’ for nine years. 

As a professional in the field of radiology, Dr. Nayyar is also affiliated with Victor Valley Global Medical Center, Orange County Global Hospital, Barstow Community Hospital, Menifee Valley Medical Center, and Physicians for Health Hospitals. He is a Clinical assistant professor in radiologic sciences at Western University. 

 A graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Nayyar went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at the University at Buffalo, followed by his residency in radiology at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in New York. He completed a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at UC Irvine. 

Before long, he became board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. 

Radiology is a medical specialty that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases within the human body. Radiologists, like Dr. Nayyar, are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using medical imaging procedures, such as exams and tests, X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, mammography, positron emission tomography, and ultrasound.
