At OALI, he focuses on issues with hips, knees, and shoulders and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for his patients in a comprehensive and compassionate nature. He specializes in total hip replacements, partial and total knee replacements, and minimally invasive, muscle sparing techniques utilizing advanced computer and robotic-assisted surgery, including MAKOplasty Robotic partial knee replacement.
Dr. Hart’s surgical expertise also extends to shoulder and knee arthroscopy for soft-tissue and ligament injuries as well as fracture care management and trauma surgery. Alongside Dr. Douglas Petraco, director of Orthopedics for St. Charles Hospital, he performed the hospital’s first ambulatory total hip replacement.
A native Long Islander, he graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University in 2004 and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Maintaining his New York roots, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at North Shore/LIJ Plainview Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at The Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.
With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
