Captain Jacob Glaser, USNR, a renowned trauma and critical care surgeon, has recently been appointed as the Trauma Medical Director at the esteemed Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, he has dedicated himself to advancing the field of trauma medicine. As a consultant to the Naval Medical Research Unit in San Antonio, where he was stationed for five years, he has been at the forefront of groundbreaking research in trauma care. His research focus includes blood product resuscitation, blood substitutes, large animal models of shock and hemorrhage, and REBOA (Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta).
