  • For me, diabetes is personal. My mother was a person with diabetes, and I appreciate the struggles that come with the diagnosis. I genuinely care for every individual I work with, and I think they can sense that.

A certified diabetes care and education specialist with extensive experience in nutrition for individuals living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, Mr. Roger Warn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the practice. His innovative approach to developing personalized nutrition plans empowers patients to take control of their diabetes management and improve their quality of life.  

In his clinical role, he specializes in evaluating barriers to diabetes self-management and creating tailored strategies to help patients adhere to dietary guidelines that support stable blood sugar levels. His dedication to patient-centered care recently earned him the esteemed title of Top Doc 2024.

Education-wise, Roger holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University (2005-2007) and a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Montclair State University (2001-2004). He is an active member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, contributing to the advancement of diabetes education and support.

Prior to joining Summit Health, he was a certified diabetes educator with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York Pediatric Diabetes Program. His impressive career also includes roles at Medtronic Diabetes and a clinical internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. As a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, Mr. Warn is committed to staying at the forefront of diabetes education and management practices.  

"My success is deeply rooted in my personal connection to diabetes," Roger explains. "Having watched my mother navigate the challenges of this condition, I understand the emotional and physical struggles that come with a diabetes diagnosis. This empathy drives my passion for helping each individual I work with."  

Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys a variety of hobbies, including ice hockey, skiing, resistance training, and artistic pursuits such as graphite drawing and traditional egg tempera painting. He finds inspiration in both Europe and the beautiful state of Maine, which he considers his favorite vacation destinations.
