Born in Zambia and growing up in Zambia and Grenada, Dr. Pandey was fortunate to be awarded an international scholarship to attend medical school at the age of 18. She graduated with her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2006.
Thereafter, she went on to perform her residency in pediatrics at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in 2010, her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Westchester Medical Center in 2015, and her fellowship in sleep medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in 2022.
An authority in her field, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Furthermore, she is board-certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). The ABOM is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing obesity medicine.
