  • What can I do for my chronic pain?

There are various ways of addressing chronic pain. When I treat patients with chronic pain I try to get down to the source of the pain whether it is from an injury 10 years ago or from a more recent change in activity levels/nutrition. Unfortunately, the source of chronic pain varies. I would find a healthcare professional who will help you find the source of your symptoms and treat you accordingly. READ MORE

  • What's physical therapy like for kids?

Physical therapy will address her functional needs in order to return her to sport safely. Age does not change the way I work with my patients. Day one will be getting information from the patient and parent/guardian) along with strength testing, range of motion testing, and functional testing. Depending on the injury and what is seen in the clinic, the treatment may include strength training, balance training, improving range of motion, and/or modalities. I would also make sure exercises are specific to her sport, in this case, cheerleading. READ MORE

  • Do I need lifelong physiotherapy for sciatica?

It should not have to be life long. Your therapist should give you the tools to help you manage and prevent future symptoms at home. READ MORE
