Founded in 1975 by Dr. Julius Shulman, Eastside Eye Associates has grown into a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice with specialists in premium lens cataract surgery, laser vision correction, glaucoma, retinal diseases, ophthalmic plastic surgery, contact lenses, general eye care, and eyeglass dispensing. They take great pride in offering the most technologically advanced developments in ophthalmology, along with individualized and personal attention. 

In addition to her expertise in interpreting optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fluorescein angiography, two in-office diagnostic tests for a variety of retinal diseases, Dr. Nadelson is one of the first retina specialists in the New York City area to offer the next generation in retina and glaucoma diagnosis, OCT-A, an advanced form of OCT testing.

At the start of her academic career, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and graduated Magna Cum Laude from medical school in Puerto Rico. After completing her internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, she completed her residency in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, where she served as chief resident. 

Thereafter, she completed her medical retina fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. During her fellowship, Dr. Nadelson became proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of a multitude of medical retina problems, including wet and dry macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous detachment (floaters), retinal tears, and vascular occlusions.

Currently licensed to practice medicine in New York, she is affiliated with New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.

Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Ophthalmologists are experts in the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye.
