Dual Board Certified Vascular Surgeon Leads the Way in Innovative Vascular Treatments

Cypress, Texas – Dr. Neil Desai, DO, FACS, a distinguished vascular surgeon, is making waves in the medical community with his expertise in treating arterial and venous diseases. His educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Houston, followed by his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Desai completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the world renowned Texas Medical Center, before undertaking a prestigious fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

As an esteemed member of various professional organizations such as the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, and the Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Society, Dr. Desai’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his practice. His involvement in groundbreaking research and speaking engagements at medical conferences underscores his dedication to advancing the field of vascular surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Desai was the first vascular surgeon in Cypress to offer TCAR, a breakthrough technology for treating carotid stenosis and preventing strokes. Serving as the Medical Director of Vascular Surgery at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress, his impact extends across multiple hospital affiliations, including HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland, HCA Houston Healthcare West, HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, and HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center.

When he is not transforming patient lives in the operating room, Dr. Desai enjoys pursuing DIY projects, showcasing his musical talents on the drums, and cherishing moments with his wife and twin boys.
