About

Dr. Ahmed Rashed is the Medical Director of the Maimonides Bay Ridge Emergency Department, a brand-new, state-of-the-art, free-standing Emergency Department located in the heart of Southern Brooklyn. He has been an Emergency Medicine Attending at Maimonides for 15 years, and spear-headed a number of ED initiatives, including the Maimonides ED transition to becoming a Level I Adult/Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, as well as playing an instrumental role in forging the relationship between Maimonides and the One Brooklyn Health System. In his role as as Medical Director  of the Maimonides Bay Ridge ED, he strives to bring the Maimonides level of clinical excellence to the communities of Southern Brooklyn that have limited access to emergency care. He lives in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and is proud to serve the community in the neighborhood he calls home.
