As a board-certified pediatrician who is fluent in both English and Polish, Dr. Gawlik brings a comprehensive, yet individualistic approach to E. G. Greenpoint Pediatrics in Brooklyn, New York. 

As the Founder of the practice, she is committed to providing a holistic approach to health for every child and family that she works with. Offering a full range of pediatric care, her special interests include managing otitis media (ear infections), allergic rhinitis (allergies), and asthma in children.

E.G. Greenpoint Pediatrics was the first pediatric clinic in Greenpoint to accept Child Health Plus, as well as one of the first to operate an Electronic Medical Records System, working closely with the NYC Health Department to deliver the highest standard of medical care. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has recognized E.G. Greenpoint Pediatrics as a Level III NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home. 

Prior to opening E.G. Greenpoint Pediatrics, Dr. Gawlik worked as an attending physician at Maimonides Medical Center until 2003. Now, in addition to running her independent practice as a Greenpoint small-business, she works closely with the NYU Tisch Hospital at NYU Langone Medical Center and with Maimonides Medical Center. 

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Gawlik graduated Cum Laude from the Medical Academy of Łódź, Poland in 1986. She worked as a certified pediatrician with the Pediatrics Institute of Łódź until 1995, when she started her residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. 

In 1998, the doctor became board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), which is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. Certification by the ABP has one objective, to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents. 

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Gawlik provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. She is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature. 

As a result of her consistent quality of service and dedication to her patients, Dr. Gawlik has received recognition as a “Top Physician” from the Consumers Research Council of America.

At present, she lives in Brooklyn with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys reading medical journals, practicing yoga with her daughter, and taking care of her beloved cat, Fifi.
