A proud native of Queens, New York, Dr. Lawton pursued her education at Hunter College and earned her Medical Degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. 

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Lawton is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
